Emergency Plumbing

After-hours response

After-hours response

For emergency calls, we have a plumber and an apprentice on call every week. If you call after hours, the plumber who's going to be dispatched to your house is the one who answers the phone. He'll get your information. Once he gets you in the database, we're at your house within 30 minutes.

Diagnosis before work

Diagnosis before work

We'll show up, diagnose the problem, give you upfront pricing, let you know how much it's going to be, get your problem fixed, and get you on your way.

Gas-leak response

Gas-leak response

A customer call about a gas leak is usually classified as an emergency. If we have a technician available, we'll send them out immediately. We'll shut the customer's gas off first, then talk to them and find out where they smell the gas.

After-hours pricing

After-hours pricing

Our regular rate is $189 an hour. Emergency calls after hours — nights and weekends — are a 50% increase, and holiday calls are double time. It's after-hours pricing, not price gouging: you still get upfront pricing before we start the work.

Winter freeze prevention

Winter freeze prevention

If a fixture is on an exterior wall, leave the cabinet doors open so heat from the house can reach the pipes. If you can't leave the cabinet open — like on a shower or tub — run a slight stream about the thickness of a pencil lead. Don't just leave it dripping; it can still freeze between drips. Put your hydrant covers on to block the wind, and if you notice low water pressure at your spigots come spring, shut it off immediately and call us — that usually means a hydrant froze and cracked over the winter.
